1. Prep the restroom.

Then, block the entryway to the restroom with your janitorial cart or place a “closed for cleaning” sign on the door. Don your gloves and safety glasses, then remove any objects around the toilet that may impede cleaning.
2. Tackle the toilet.
Put the toilet seat down, then flush the toilet. Squirt your toilet bowl cleaner under the rim of the toilet and let it sit while you clean the toilet’s exterior. Wipe down external surfaces like the surrounding baseboards and walls, toss your rags, paper towels or disinfecting wipes and rise out your pail and bowl brush. Wash your hands well, then sanitize.
